To provide real-time data insertion using SiteScheduler, Centro Software Development introduces the new SiteScheduler Data Inserter product. This product retrieves data from databases, the internet and many other sources and sends this data to the displays, providing a full dynamic display environment.
The SiteScheduler Data Inserter application is to be used in conjunction with the rest of the SiteScheduler software suite, in particular the SiteScheduler Player and SiteScheduler Client software. The SiteScheduler Data Inserter allows the user to automatically retrieve data from different sources, such as the Internet and databases, and distribute this data to the clients or players that are running.
The application is a Windows service so that, when installed, it will start automatically the moment the system that it is running on is started
Some of the uses of the SiteScheduler Data Inserter are:

Retrieving news or weather information from a web site and distributing it to your clients in a tickertape.

Retrieving stock information from Reuters and sending this information to clients in tickertape together with the current time and date.

Retrieving pricing information out of a database through ODBC and sending this pricing information to the clients where it can be displayed in text boxes or used by flash.

Retrieving data from a plain text file somewhere on your network and distributing this to the clients.
