Interactive SDK

The Next Step

With technology advancing every day, the world has become a very different place. Advertising and Entertainment has reached a whole new level, with Audio-Visual mediums such as LED Screens, Plasma and LCD Screens, Projection, Kiosks and the internet, we are seeing more dynamic content then ever. It has now become possible to interact with this content, mainly through the use of an interface such as a mouse or keyboard, or even touch screen technology. Now the audience can decide what they want to hear and see.

So what is the next step for the current technology to advance further? Motion Detection Interfaces! Imagine being able to interact with this amazing technology by just moving your body or parts of it. Imagine if every passer-by could also interact with it, whether the display is in the street, shopping centers, airports... wherever! You could have advertisments play when somebody walks past, you could make something move or play on a screen without even touching it. You could have 10 or even 100 people interacting with a screen or projected image at the same time, whether they are playing a game, creating stunning visual effects, learning about new products and services or just having fun! And what's more, there is absolutly nothing needed for somebody to interact, anybody can use it without any special hardware or skills.

Our ADVIS Interactive Projection System is only a small part of what the software can really do. You can have the ability to create fully interactive displays, 'Minority Report' style interfaces, eye-catching and audience grabbing effects and much more...

Our development kits give you this ability:

Development Libraries

Our libraries allow developers to rapidly create advanced motion detection based applications quickly and easily. C++ Developers don’t need to be expert developers or need to have knowledge of our technology in order to use our development libraries to create a working product.

We have three primary motion detection based libraries called iJen, Iris and Plato. We also have one primary colour tracking library called Phoenix. In addition to the primary development libraries we also have a support library called Tinycam which allow additional types of cameras to be used or added to the main libraries.

iJen C++ Development Library

iJen is motion detection made simple. iJen is designed to allow novice & beginner C++ developers to create advanced interactive content quickly and easily.

IRIS C++ Development Library

Iris has the power of Plato but has the simplicity of developing with iJen.

Plato C++ Development Library

Plato is an advanced version of iJen, which is far faster and more powerful. Plato allows multiple versions of itself to run concurrently which means Plato is capable to using multiple cameras simultaneously. Plato uses extended calculations which allow more accurate outlining of moving objects and allows velocity and direction data to be extracted. Sensitivity and engine accuracy settings have been expanded, allowing for finer system control and better performance. The Plato C++ development library is designed for competent to advanced C++ developers.

Plato(X) Series Development Environments

The Plato(X) Series is a real time interpreter, based on the Plato C++ Development Libraries; you need to use another development language to write your game/application in such as VB, C++, Flash, Java, Etc…basically any development language that supports socket communications. This allows developers to use there favoured development language with a minimal learning curve.

Phoenix C++ Development Library

Phoenix is our colour tracking library which utilises Plato technology. As with our other libraries Phoenix is designed to be very simple and easy to use. Phoenix can be programmed to follow and track 16.7 million individual colours simultaneously and individually and can also look for an unlimited amount of groups of different colours.

Tinycam

Tinycam is our Universal video Input translator for iJen, IRIS, Plato & Phoenix.

Tinycam is a piece of ‘middle ware’. It is used as an interface from the camera to our development environments. It supplements the libraries by giving them the ability to use many different types of cameras. Tinycam currently supports the industry standard RGB, I420, MPEG, MJPEG video capture formats. By supporting this industry standard we support 98% of web cams that have already been sold.

It is possible to use other input devices by creating additional interfaces within Tinycam. This gives tinycam the ability to have new formats added at a later time or when technology changes. Tinycam is intergraded into our development environments as a supporting development library.
